The Club

The club has since inception run a series of Saturday clinics. The idea is to get as many kids involved in the game and growing the club from the bottom up. Therefore, we ensure that we have a constant flow of players to sustain our senior teams. This was viewed as a long term goal. Due to a lack of resources and manpower these programs comes to a halt as soon as the season starts. This is due to the fact that we use our senior players to conduct these clinics and we cannot focus on this programme because we have to honour league fixtures. We managed to send a number of our members for their “Boksmart” training and also the IRB Level1 coaching to ensure we practice the game safely.

Therefore, it is extremely important that we recruit members from the public to assist with this initiative. This will ensure that we run the programme throughout the year. Our long term goal is to have teams participating in all age groups, from under 9 to under 21.

We are in need of the following to ensure that we sustain the development program:

  1. Managers and coordinators for the weekly clinics.
  2. Coach the junior players.
  3. First-aiders, who will be trained by the club.
  4. Chaperones to accompany and supervise the youngsters on excursions to matches at Coca Cola Park.

Individuals, interested to join us to develop the community, via the club, are most welcome.
We are in need of persons who have a passion for development and are prepared to do it on a voluntary basis. (You can decide how much time you want to invest in the club)

NB! Your participation would be voluntary and much needed.
