ENNERDALE RUGBY FOOTBALL CLUB IS ON THE RISE

Your Club is taking on a whole new league in 2010. The Ingonyama League was very good to play in. Hopefully we can implement the lessons learned there in this new league. Ennerdale rugby Football Club is now entering the President’s League

CHAMPIONS TOUR’S COMING TO A MALL NEAR YOU:

I’m sure all of you are aware of the fact that the Springboks won every trophy available in 2009. SARU is having a marvellous road show with all those trophies and it is coming to Lensgate – I mean Trade Route Mall.

The idea is to share it with all the people in the country. You’ll be able to take photos with the World Cup, Currie Cup, Super 14 trophy, British & Irish Lions trophy, Freedom Cup, Tri Nations trophy and the Mandela Plate. I’m definitely going to be there! When will you ever have the opportunity to see the World Cup [William Webb Ellis Trophy] or any of these magnificent pieces of silver wear [trophies] again, with your own eyes nogal?

The nice truck, with all the goodies, will be at Trade Route Mall on 8th March 2010 from 15h00 till the mall closes. It is designed to grant the working people the chance to share in this great party.

From 13h00 – 14h30 there will be a coaching clinic for all scholars at the Tech ground in Lenasia. I know our schools will make a plan to ensure our rugby-playing scholars get to share in the festivities. See you there!!!!!

ENNERDALE RFC AND THE LOCAL SCHOOLS

Do you remember your school days? The rivalry between your school and the neighbouring school – the “classic clashes” were what you lived for – wasn’t it? We are trying to revive that culture amongst our schools with limited success.

It appears that both parents and teachers are happy to see our children waste away through drug and alcohol abuse and indiscriminate, risky, promiscuous & deviant sexual behaviour. Before you start fighting, ask your school how many times we’ve been to see them to offer our services to constructively occupy our youth. Then ask them how many times they’ve responded positively to our offer.

Now, dear community member, we offer our services directly to you since the school model has failed. Bring, don’t send, your child to the ext.9 stadium every Saturday morning from 09h00 – 11h30 for our coaching clinics. Come talk to us, sign up as a member, make yourself available to be trained as a coach, referee, assistant referee [linesman/woman], learn first aid and get involved in building our future today. While you are at the clinic, you’ll be amazed at how easy, cheap and rewarding it is to do good. You can still go do your shopping, mow the lawn, clean the house & washing from 11h30. Remember we are also parents with the same obligations and responsibilities as you – but we care more about our children than a clean house. See you there!!

The club is busy investigating putting our unemployed yet qualified coaches into the schools to do the coaching at school – at a price of course since these young men need to make a living. Details will be available in our next edition.
